With our Trophy! Good job girls
NERVOUS COACHES

Starting the Competition

Just before the compeition Warm-up

The girls went and performed perfectly! We scored 3rd place, but got screwed because we were put in small senior level 3 judging class- and there was a team of 30 girls competing against us! Small senior is for teams of 15 or less- so we were pretty pissed- The but good part of the day was that the girls made it through their first competition, did an awesome job, and had a ton of fun- Great work girls- Love you!

Day 20

WINGAPO Bloggers! This gift has a silly story with it- The other night, in the shower, Tyler and I starting singing disney songs- Hakuna Matata, Under the Sea, Colors of the Wind, I just can't wait to be king... etc. PS- we sing amazing, probably should be our own choir, or like Donny and Marie or something... So we decided that we needed to start buidling up our Disney Collection of the good movies we enjoyed as kids, so our kids can enjoy them too. Gift number 20..... POCAHONTAS! Gotta love a little John Smith

A Sweet Hubby and a Birthday Surprise! - Day 22

Its totally my Birthday in 22 days! So kidding around with Tyler a little while ago, I was saying I deserved big special presents for a special birthday because I'll only have 8 or 9 birthdays where the numbers are the same - 11, 22,33, etc. (PS I was totally kidding, I just like to make my birthday a big deal for funnies)-

SO- tonight I was suprised with a poem and a big red poinsettia! Tyler's poem stated that because Its my 22 birthday, and its 22 days till my birthday, and he loves me so much (ahhh precious)- that I get a present everyday until my birthday! A COUNTDOWN! I'm so excited! so here is present for day number 22- the start of the countdown till the big birthday bash!

FINALS WEEK

Sometimes its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and right now that is me. I know that this week doesn't last long, but it is torture. Finishing huge projects, reading, studying constantly, its just a long week of stuff I don't want to do. I think with christmas right around the corner it makes things that much harder. I want to decorate, I was to bake, I want to shop, and all I am doing is school work. I know that in the end it will all be worth it... blah blah blah, but its just not seeming that way right now. Sorry i'm being a grumpy grouch. I can't help it, its finals week.

Top Chef!

Decided I wanted a cheese ball, so I made one myself. No RECIPE- all from my head. It was good! (if I do say so myself) Here's my made up recipe if you wanted to try one for yourself

1 package of Cream Cheese

2 tbls of sour cream

1/2 tsp crushed garlic

1/4 of a medium sized yellow onion (cut really tiny pieces)

1 tbls of thinnly sliced chives

1/2 package of ranch dip mix

1/2 cup cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

slivered almonds

- Mix all ingredients (except the almonds) together in a bowl. Shape into a nice ball (it should be about the size of an orange. Roll the cheese ball in slivered almonds until outside of the ball in completely covered. Chill for 20 minutes to achieve a firm ball. Enjoy

Hope it works if you want to try it! Yummers.

The Murder Mystery Party

I stangled my cheating husband, Ace High, with my pearl necklace-
Hustlin Hailey and Iguana Trump- Nice crown

Amie threw a Murder Mystery party and it was at our house! It was a blast. I ended up being the murderer, but I wasn't the best at it, everybody new. But it was so much fun, dinner was incredible, and the girls made every last detail perfect. I was Hustlin Hailey, Tyler was Paul Piano, and Amie was Iguana Trump, she makes a great blonde. I need to go to parties with interior designers more often!

Wyoming Trip

We headed to Wyoming to have a family outing before the winter months. It was so fun to be up there, the mountains were beautiful and playing games with the fam is always a riot. Here are some pics from the trip.

The Best Husband in the WORLD

I had a horrible week and Tyler was having to deal with my grumpiness. I called him after cheer practice and he was being so nice to me, and when I got home he had a candle light dinner, flowers, and had cleaned the house. It made my week and cheered me up instantly. I love Tyler, he's the best husband ever.

Drama Drama Drama

Can I just say, being an adult, married, and away from the drama of the young high school single life is sure great. As much fun as I had in high school, I sure don't miss the dramatic events and emotional breakdowns, the cheating boyfriends and the power struggle with my parents. I am loving being married, in college, and living life as an adult. Good stuff- hopefully the drama stays away, and the good times keep on rollin.

The Primary- a sad farewell

Today I was released from being the Primary Pianist after over 1 year. I loved my calling, sitting behind the piano and listening to the little testimonies and prayers. These kids are amazing, and hilarious. I'm going to miss them so much. A few of my favorite comments " (Prayer in July) Thanks that christmas is coming soon." "(Testimony) I know Jesus had to die and go back to heaven, so he could have white hair." Just a few of the precious moments shared in the walls of the primary room. :)

Sick and Tired

Sometimes I wonder if all I am doing is going to amount to anything. Going to school full time, working two jobs, and doing ambassadors is wearing on me. I have been so tired and now I am sick. I just want to live, and have time to do what I want; to be with my husband and have a little fun. I'm told it will all be worth it but sometimes is just doesn't feel like it.

Baby Braden

Tyler and I babysat Braden Clyde for a day and night. He is the cutest little thing. Here are some fun pictures of bath time. This little babysitting experience made me realize how much time and hard work it takes to raise a little one. Props to all you moms and dads out there. Its a whole lot more work than I thought it was- but super rewarding. The little smiles and cuddles make it all worth while.

New Car

We got a new Car!! Yay- we love it, come take a drive with us sometime.

Catching up-

Its been a while since I posted. Life is pretty crazy. We've been working hard, going to school, and having a little fun on the side. We headed to park city for a weekend, here are some fun pictures. We stopped at Deek's soccer game at UVU on the way to Park city. There was a crazy parade in PC while we were there, probably the most white trash, unfancy parade I have ever seen. Then- we drove around these HUGE houses, people have a lot of money. The trip was a fun family experience.

Our First Camping Trip

Tyler and I decided we would go camping- since it was the last time we would get to do something fun before school started. This was our first camping trip together and probably the only camping trip for a long time. It was... an adventure.

Tony's Grove was our destination, and we new it would fill fast, so I left work at 3:00 and by 4:00 we were headed up the canyon to find the perfect spot. We had borrowed a row boat to fish in the morning, and packed all our own stuff, we were going to rough it.

As we arrived at Tony's Grove we were excited to get started with our fun weeked. About 45 minutes later, hopes dashed, we headed up the canyon to Bear Lake. Turns out, if you want to camp at Tony's Grove, you have to make a reservation. Yes, a resevation.. There were plenty of spots open, with little signs that said, reserved from 8/15 to 8/17. Leaving work early was a waste. It didn't matter if we were there at 12:00 NOON, it was still filled with with people who "reserved" their spot.

Off to Bear Lake we went. We stopped at a gas station to find camping spots, they were useless. We thought about stopping to get dinner in town but we were "roughing it", and we were going to roast our hot dogs over the fire. By about 6:45 we had finally found our spot.

With dark clouds rolling in we started to make our fire, hoping to get some food before too late. 10 minutes later we were sitting in the truck watching the rain pour down and the wind blow the trees. So far, the trip was a failure. Within another 10 minutes the rain had stopped and we started making our fire and setting up camp. The fire went up quickly and we were ready to eat. Only problem... We had left the hot dogs home. So Tyler headed to the store 20 minutes away and I sat by the fire, alone.

Sitting by myself I kept trying to keep the fire going. I ran out of small pieces of wood and was left with a couple 2x4's and an axe and hatchet. I started hacking at the wood. I felt stupid but eventually cut a couple small pieces to put in the fire. I must have looked pretty sad because about 1 minute later 3 men (campers from the camp next to us) brought me some logs to put on the fire and told me that hacking at a 2x4 isn't the best way to keep the fire going. How embarassing.

Tyler got back, we roasted our hot dogs, set up camp and got to bed. Things had started to run smoothly. At least we thought. The campers a few camps down decided to start blasting their music. Now, if this had been bareable music, it probably would have been fine. It was 70's folk music. NOT GOOD. Then, the wind started blowing. Now our tent is tough and it never fell down, but... It would fold in half over the top of us before it would bounce back. So, needless to say it was a sleepless night with tent blowing and music blaring.

Tyler woke up about 6:30 to try some fishing and get the fire going. I woke up to a warm fire. We brought bagels and cream cheese for breakfast so I decided to roast my bagle on the fire. It was actually pretty good. Tyler just laughed at me. We then cleaned up camp and headed to Bear Lake for a little boating and fishing. I lounged in the boat and Tyler tried fishing. The fish weren't biting so we headed home, stopping in bear lake for lunch and a shake.

Finally home we unloaded the boat at Tyler's friends house and this is when we realized, we left the oars at the beach.
Back to bear lake we headed. We searched the beach, asked everyone if they'd seen them. No good. We will now be buying new oars for Tyler's Buddy.

This was our first camping trip, and not our last. But i'm guessing it will be a while before we try "roughing it" again. I always new I was a hotel resort girl :)
